ChatGPT is pretty correct on their statement regarding the symbol formats for the CFE. It really does not matter, there is no difference in the data between them. It was just the way the symbols were originally setup and then a decision to use a different format later. The better option is to use "VXH26_FUT_CFE", as if there were to be a consolidation at some point, then this would be the one that would get used. Just be careful, as you need to use the symbol consistently. You can not have some charts with one symbol format and others with the other symbol format. This will cause an issue. -- The only reason we can think of for something like this to occur would be that your charts are setup to only display 1 day of data, therefore when you opened them during the closing of the CME, you were actually into the next day, so there was no data to display. But there is no reason for there to be an issue due to the particular timing of when you open the chart. The CME being closed would not have an impact on this (apart from what we state above).
