Keep in mind, you can also just ask it to build you a FVG indicator. You can describe how an ICT FVG works or just ask it to search the web and figure it out.

Instead of nearly 1000 lines of code in the GC example, you might end up with 250 like me with all the bells and whistles I wanted to have to create backtests.
Code is easier to understand and because I only really want to focus on specific time-based gaps, it is cleaner on the charts and exports well from spreadsheets.

I built mine without asking the AI to look at GC code and it had no issues. Of course, there's nothing wrong with giving credit to GC and to ICT for naming the thing.

I wanted mine to include the Volume Imbalances and identify the Suspension Blocks like ICT explains in his videos, but perhaps you have other interests. I don't even know if the GC code has options for those things. It was easier to just ask for what I wanted than to download the code and understand it.

To build a file, just follow the guide: How to Build an Advanced Custom Study from Source Code

For me, this means dropping the cpp file into ACS_Studies.
Then choosing Analysis > Build Custom Studies DLL.
That will open a dialog.
I pick my cpp file by choosing Select Files
Then I go to the menu and choose Build > Remote Build Standard

Wait for compilation.

Then use Analysis > Studies

Go to the Add Custom Studies button
Find the Study I want and click Add
If you leave the Show Settings checked, you will get your settings and subgraphs window right away and you can modify it before applying it to see the study results.
