The keyboard shortcut issues are now resolved in release version 2858. Although we do not have any explanation, for what the user experienced in the first post but we understand the sound related to when using Alt key shortcuts was the operating system generating a sound due to an invalid selection on the menu. There was a posting made that was completely out of bounds, and was not fact at all. If we see that again you are going to get banned off this board. This is resolved: I have dozens of keyboard shortcuts involving the Alt key that I now need to rework.
We certainly were going to be working on resolving the issue, as we subsequently said, after we previously indicated that it is our preference not to be bypassing operating system Key functionality (referring to the Alt key). We just needed to go through keyboard shortcut handling in depth and the use of the Alt key and understand the problem. In general from past experience, using the Alt key we know does have its issues but now that we have gone through keyboard shortcuts in depth, the Alt key can be used with keyboard shortcuts and is supported properly. And now that we have gone through keyboard shortcuts in depth, and have implemented, proper low-level handling for them, it is possible to override, certain key defaults that exist within Sierra Chart.
