You did not specify a Date Range From/To, so the system took it as get all the data available. You must have the chart setup as a Continuous Futures Contract, which is why it downloaded all that data. There are two items on that settings tab related to dates From/To. The ones at the top are for the dates in the data file. In general, you should not have to change these, and you can only change the "From" field, if you need more data for the symbol - but for a futures symbol, this is for the current contract. Towards the middle are the entries for From/To where you define the actual date range to display. There is no issue with Sierra Chart with having the data on your system. The only issue is related to drive space.
