We will do testing to see if it would be slower: slower loading times, slower processing etc.
Before the post, we have considered what you are saying, but still at the very least the array used for volume/quantity values must be a double. That is really essential for accuracy. I often find that having some arrays set to integer would be helpful This is why using doubles is better because a double, has enough precision, to represent a four byte integer without any loss or imprecision.Using options when it comes to low-level data arrays adds too much complexity.
