@Mercrastius, I have been running Linux on Apple's Intel based computers (Linux don't work on Silicon based Apple computers), they work great! MacOS is garbage but hardware are phenomenal. You could buy a used or a refurbished one for just a few hundreds bucks, they are actually more popular than most people thought.
