Let me try to explain it from the documentation (which I think explains it fairly well): Triggered: Means it is only activated (i.e. sent to the exchange) when the trigger price is reached. In other words if the client is not connected the order doesn't get sent. Order Types: Triggered Limit The Triggered Limit is similar to a Stop Limit order, except that the Triggered Limit is a client-side managed order type which means until such time that the Trigger price is met, the Limit order is not sent to the external Trading service. When the Trigger price has been met, then the order is sent as a Limit order.
Limit: I think we all understand that part. Chase: Explained here: Order Types: Limit Chase The Limit Chase order type is a Limit order type that is automatically adjusted to follow (chase) the current market price.
So it's basically a limit chase order that is client based. It's already available for Stops. I wanted to set it for targets too. |
