Thank you, I guess I can extend this logic to bunch of other Market Statistics We looked into why this is the case. Market statistics are calculated and generated multiple times a second, four times a second. If at the next time they are generated there is no change in the value then the open for the next second will have the same value as the close of the prior second. If you look closely, sometimes you will see a change with the NISS, for example, between the prior close and the next open.
===========I asked those questions specifically because I read the documentation and so I wanted confirmation/clarification as sometimes one can misunderstand or the wording can be convoluted at times. I hope I didn't come across as passive-aggressive or lazy in doing prior read up :) =========== I'll try my luck again and perhaps rephrase my question and if it is still deemed as "Refer to documentation", I'll take that. Rephrased Q1: It wasn't specified anywhere what true means in the below quote. The inference I can come up at the most was true Advance-Decline line = cumulative based on the link in the quote. I want to make sure what I inferred was correct, hence the question as the inference is quite indirect (no where was it stated why it was referred to as "true"). The difference between ADV and DECL. This is the symbol to use to get the Advance-Decline line. However, to get the true https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/StudiesReference.php&ID=151#Advance_Decline_Line, you need to add the Advance Decline Line study ...
Rephrased Q2: Honestly, this question seems very related to Q1 so I'll skip unless the answer to Q1 is much different than I expect Rephrased Q3: The docs already has the answer for this explicitly so I apologize for being too pedantic Q4: Already answered, thanks. |
