Hello, I set up this account on behalf of my UK-registered company. We hold an Interactive Brokers account, where we successfully applied for reclassification as a professional client. This was done by providing evidence of: - Transactions of significant size (value of trades totalling at least EUR 200,000) on the relevant market at an average frequency of 10 per quarter over the past 4 quarters; & Current account equity of at least EUR 50,000. - A financial instrument portfolio (including cash deposits and financial instruments) exceeding EUR 500,000. - A key member of the team works or has worked in the financial sector for at least one year in a professional position, which requires knowledge of the transaction or services envisaged. Meeting two out of the three required criteria, Interactive Brokers approved us as a professional client. However, we are not registered as a professional with any other organisation. Our goal now is to connect our Interactive Brokers account to Sierra Chart so we can begin using Order Book data immediately. Specifically, we need CME data in order to trade S&P futures. On the Sierra Chart portal, the CME section requires signing a declaration that states the user must be non-professional to access the data. This is where I need clarification: Should our organisation be treated as professional or non-professional for Sierra Chart’s purposes? If we are considered professional, what is the process for gaining access to CME Order Book Level 2 data? Any guidance on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. |
