What the title says, here's some clarification;
I'd trade this (day trading)strategy off very fast charts like 500-1000 volume bars or so. I'm looking to catch the momentum as it kicks in and as things happen fast on such tiny charts, the scanner should trigger an alert as soon as price starts moving. I'd have not more than 100 stocks on the list.

I saw in docs that you can set it up based on a study. However, if I'd use MA or some similar trend indicator, when market is choppy I'd get alerts all the time as price criss-crosses MA. I'm not even sure what to use here in terms of available studies as I generally stick with price action so I'm not familiar with the whole list of studies Sierra has. Any suggestions?
I was thinking something based on series oh HHs and HLs and vice-versa for a downward move might work. So is there a study like that?

Basically, the question is; can I use Sierra for this kind of momentum scanning and what would be the best way to set the scanner up?
