Thank you, I resorted to asking as I could not find the definition of the terms in general in the documentation (as well as because of prior threads on the confusing aspects of this). I think I might have managed to find it however. For future readers: Flatten: Trading Information Windows: Flatten Trade Positions Flatten means to send a market order to make the current Position quantity 0.
Cancel: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Cancel All This button will cancel all working orders for the Symbol and Trade Account the chart or Trading DOM is set to.
Flatten & Cancel: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TradeWindow.html#FlattenCancel. The "Cancel" here works has some nuances compared to above This command Flattens the position and Cancels all the working orders for the symbol, except for Market orders.
