Post From: System crashes with 2 installations of SC2761 running concurrently

Debian 12
kernel 6.1.0-37
GNOME 43.9
wine 10.0
SC2761

I have multiple separate installations of SC on this PC.
No such problems observed with prior versions of SC, e.g. 2755, 2758.
When a new SC version is available, I do not upgrade all SC installations at once.
I always upgrade my 'master sim SC' first. If this runs fine for a couple of days, I then upgrade the 'master live trade SC'.
During a trading session both of these installations are running concurrently.
So, I had the sim SC on 2761 and the live SC on 2758. This worked fine with no problems. (Note: I reported a problem with SC2758 here earlier, but this turned out to be not caused by SC, and the source of that error has since been removed.)

I updated the live SC to 2761 and after that I started getting problems when running both SC2761 concurrently. The exact circumstances are not clear, but the whole system crashes. Either the GUI freezes or the screen turns black. I had 1 crash yesterday, but today there were 4 crashes during the trading session. I did some analysis and if any useful crash data was produced, it pointed to FPU errors in combination with page faults, and the wine session was always involved in it, sometimes error data was pointing directly to the SC process.

I have not observed the problem when only one SC2761 was running, or as already stated above when SC2761+SC2758 was running.

I have set up the system to produce more error/crash data now - hopefully it works.

Question to the engineers:
Did you introduce any code changes in SC2761 (from SC2758 onward) that could produce concurrency problems?
If yes, anything specific that I could look out for to catch the error?
