Post From: Price display and tick size for symbols get randomly messed up, preventing trading

ARM_MBO is a stock I have already taken trades on. Today, its price isn't displayed normally on the right side scale of charts: for example instead of the normal $129.56, it says 129 - 59/-71. I am unable to enter trades because of it. So I go to Global settings -> Symbol Settings. Note that I am using custom symbols. At first, I see "Price Display format" is written in that weird 129 -59/-71 formatting. I manually edit it to something normal: 0.01. Sierra Chart says the default setting here would be 0.001, which isn't correct. The default should be 1 penny always. But anyway, I enforce my manual 0.01. I reconnect. After that, I see nothing particularly wrong with the custom settings for this stock anymore. The problem keeps happening. The same thing started happening with NKE_MBO today as well, a stock that has always been displaying its price normally. This randomly happens on some days, on random stocks. I have no way of predicting this. I always update the symbol settings of course, but this is not enough. Here are two screenshots of the settings for ARM_MBO and NKE_MBO. Note: when I took these screenshots, NKE was displaying its price properly again thanks to my manual modifications. ARM was not, despite having exactly the same settings. I figured after half an hour of tinkering, that I had to use the default "Price Display Format" of 0.001 on ARM_MBO so it works again. Now its price is showing as 129.620 on charts. I can deal with it, but I'm sure it'll be grounds for this problem to repeat itself some day. I can deal with it after my trading sessions, but the fact that it can happen for no apparent reason out of the blue is weird. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-05-22 14:51:42
