The "Maximum Historical Intraday Days to Download" generally sets the amount of data that is loaded for a new chart. But, if you have saved the option for "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Save Days to Load, Intraday Bar Period, Graph Draw Type as Default" then this will set the "Days to Load" to a specific value when you open a new chart.
