Sorry to hijack but I came on here to report exactly the same thing. I also get this problem intermittently. Some days I login to SC all bottom MDI window tabs are there. Other days no MDI tabs and requires a restart to get them back. My "Use MDI Windows tabs" is always set to "Yes"
