+1 for this. It's really the resizing of the volume dots on zooming that is useful. I don't know exactly what bookmap does, but it works very well to see when more volume is coming in and large dots start showing up. I often don't notice it on a footprint chart for some reason, not sure how they have their algo set up to display the volume.
