unfortunately, you simply cannot compare vmware, qemu, utm, virtualbox, etc, performance to parallels i'm not sure why but the difference is night and day i think parallels makes use of apple's Hypervisor and Metal frameworks and potentially other hardware accelerations in apple silicon it truly makes it feel bare-metal edit: i should mention the last time i tested other options was over a year ago. maybe they've improved Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-01-16 00:34:48
