if I was primarly trading off my desktop but then have to use my laptop If I may add my 2 cents here... https://freefilesync.org/ freeware allows you to keep the SC/main directory in desktop and laptop in sync by one step operation. Just buy a cheap USB SSD drive: 1) nightly backup by scheduling a batch job every night to sync the entire SC folder to the USB drive 2) insert the USB drive into your laptop on the day of travel and sync it back to your laptop's SC folder. It really is that simple! Forget about all the complex steps involved if you want your laptop to exactly match your desktop at all times. Alternatively, you could also run SC directly from a USB drive. The entire platform available in your pocket :-) edit: filesync is FAST as it does a mirror copy of only those files that do not match between source and destination.
