We need more information related to "it's locked up and not updating". Are you able to interact with the Trade Activity Log at all? Do things move and highlight, or is it actually "locked" and you can not do anything with it? What happens if you exit Sierra Chart and start again and open the Trade Activity Log?

The main thought we have is that your DisplaySettings are not correct for what you are wanting to see, particularly the date range. Refer to the following:
