If you have trades and the "Trade Activity Log" is blank, then you need to adjust the filters for Trade Activity Log so that you can view the trades that you made. Refer to the following: Trade Activity Log: Viewing Historical Trade Activity With regards to the export, if the Trade Activity Log is blank, then there is nothing to export, which would explain why that was not working.
