Technically there is absolutely no reason why this would happen. We have never heard of this or seen this. We have done a test now . We do not see this kind of behavior at all. And there is no technical reason for this to happen. It makes no sense and we have performed the test now using an Alert Condition Formula which uses the bid price. We switched to another Chartbook with no charts visible and we continue to get alerts from the formula. In older versions of Sierra Chart, market depth updates would have been stopped for the symbol if there is no visible market depth display for the symbol. But this was removed in recent versions and this would have no effect upon the last trade price or the best bid and ask data. Only the levels of depth beyond the best bid and ask. Make sure you are on the current version of Sierra Chart. What Data or Trading service are you using? We see you are subscribed to the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed.
