The default symbol settings are for 09:30 Eastern US time for the Starting Time. Therefore, when you open a new chart for a symbol with the Global Time Zone of Central US, the starting time will be set to 08:30. If this is not happening for you, then the two items we can think of are either: - You are copying a chart that has the 09:30 start time rather then opening a new one and you have the option to not update Symbol Settings when you change the symbol for a chart. - The symbol settings have been changed for the stock symbols such that either the Time Zone or the Start Time are not the default of Eastern US and 09:30. Note that for the symbol settings, the symbol it uses looks like ??? or ???? (depending on how many characters are in the symbol).
