Your first calculation is correct, but your second calculation is wrong. +100-(-3000) = 3100 3100/100 = 31 31 * 100 = 3100 +3000-(-100) = 3100 3100/3000 = 1.03333 1.03333 * 3000 = 3099.99 However, I don't think that's the correct way to calculate what you are after.
