I would start by learning the basics of using a spreadsheet. SC currently uses a low features version of excel, with very basic functionality. You can right click on any cell in the spreadsheet to see available options. Search for excel training or excel tutorial to find beginner material. To speed things up you want to focus initially on cell referencing and creating formulas and you can skip past things like graphing, pivot tables, illustrations, or any other feature that's not available in SC by right clicking on a cell. If you give more details about the system you want to start with, then I can give you formulas to play with as you are learning. I need to know the studies and the order you have them on your chart, entry and exit criteria, etc.
