I understand but I reiterate that I never had the same problem using the same setup of Sierra Chart almost everyday during the past two years, through which there has been plenty of volatility and wide ranges of prices. Now I can add more context about the possible cause: yesterday I used the function "Delete All Data And Download" on each of the three instruments and I enabled "Use OpenGL for Chart Graphics" (which I had disabled to try and solve the problem): the problem seemed solved. Today I started the platform at 08:00am ET and it run fine. I shut the monitor and I came back after the bout of volatility of 08:30am ET. The platform was again very laggy and the time scales on several windows were flickering/not rendering properly. Closing and reopening the platform solved the problem. During all this I always kept "Tick per Volume Bar" and "Volume at Price Multiplier" at 1. |
