Your friend is confusing a few items. You do not need $100 specifically in your account with us. That $100 is if you need real-time data, then you would open a brokerage account for $100 (we are not a broker) in order to qualify for the non-professional CME Group exchange fees. Regardless of the above, you do need to deposit enough funds into your account with us to be able to pay for a paid package. Since you are wanting to use the Delayed Data for simulation, you would want to be on one of the Base packages.
