When a session ends and rolls over to the next day session it displays the high and low shadows from the previous days candlestick. It is not until I close out the chart book and reload the markets that this is corrected. Example: ES closes on 04/15/14 opens back up on 04/15/14 but is the 04/16/14 session. It doesn't start a new candle right away it takes time (I dont know how much). Wwhen I finally does display a new candle it has the entire price action from the previous session in it.
