To do what you want, you would need to use a "Constant Range" scaling. With Automatic scaling, the system is adjusting the scale up/down to fit all the data onto the screen, which can stretch/compress the X's and O's. With Constant Range, you are setting a specific range so there is no adjusting the scale unless you do it. You will want to review the options for the "Constant Range Scale Modes" to determine which one will work best for you.
