The fact that you develop software does not make you a Professional for the purposes of the CME Group. Are you a Professional Trader, in that you make trades for other people, or use other people's money to trade? Or are you on the list of Professional traders?

It sounds like you may have been tagged as a Professional since you did not have a trading account to connect to, therefore the CME Group lists you as a Professional since you did not qualify as a Non-Professional.

But, since you now have an account, if you are not an actual Professional (as we note above) then you can redo the CME Group Exchange Agreements and put in your trading account information in order to be reclassified as a Non-Professional. You will find the agreements at the following link:

On the other hand, if you are a Professional, then there is no exchange option for a "Professional with a Trading Account". You would need to pay the full price for the Professional exchange(s). The Netting option is if you are getting the data from the CME Group directly, therefore you are already paying the exchange fees to them and you would not have to pay them again.
