User 85195, Chack IE >> Tools >> Internet Options >> Connections. Make sure 'never dial a connection' is checked. Somehow with me the next one was checked and this caused the numerous offline sessions. I really don't understand why this suddenly became an issue with IE, I never changed any settings. Anyway, looks like the 'httpsendrequest' issue is caused by IE. Support, thanks for the hint in the right direction!!
