There definitely should not be any issue with this. We just tried ourselves to ensure something did not get changed, but it is working as expected. We have to ask the obvious question, are you sure you are holding the "Shift" key and not the "Ctrl" key (this is something we do ourselves sometimes), especially since the Control key is used for other items like the Scaling change.
