User30743 well, that is exactly what I don't want to do, every time close/open chartbook or detach/attach study etc.
At the risk of stating the obvious (tho it might be what you are missing), when you go to rebuild your DLL, are you first going to Analysis--> Build Advanced Custom Studies DLL and then from the Build menu, select either "Release All DLLs" or "Release Single DLL"? As bradh already mentioned, if you are not changing anything that impacts on defaults (plus adding/removing inputs, add/remove subgraphs, etc.), then there would be no need to close chartbook, remove study, etc.
