We need more information on exactly what is happening in terms of "locking up". In particular, is the data stopping, but are you able to interact with the User Interface? Do you have a lot of drawings on the screen, or using a lot of transparent items? Does it just interact slowly, but does "catch up" to what you want to do? Is there something specific you are doing when it "locks up"?
