Given your answer to point 1 being that I can't currently use Denali with another platform: - It presents an issue for contingency planning in the event of a problem with Sierra / Denali. In the event there is an issue with Sierra Charts, or Denali, I can't switch to another platform and Trade or Manage my positions, just close them. Ack, the issue is similar if I'm using CQG and the Datafeed goes down, but I'm now relying on 1 point of Failure (Sierra Charts and Denali) as opposed to two. It's all well and good to say that you have a very stable source etc, but reality is the unexpected can and does happen, hence we contingency plan. - It locks users into using Sierra Chart exclusively or forces them to pay for multiple Data Feeds.
No it does not. You can use whatever program you want. If you have another source of EUREX data, you would also have to pay the EUREX exchange fee for that as well but this is not a high fee. And you are using CQG. And our understanding with CQG is you have to pay a separate exchange fee, for each separate trading platform that you are using with CQG where you want CQG market data. So your cost regarding exchange fees does not change in this case since you would just not pay the exchange fee through CQG any longer when using it with Sierra Chart.Key points there: - You can use whatever program you want. - If you have another source of EUREX data. - You would also have to pay the EUREX exchange fee for that as well but this is not a high fee. At present I can use CQG with any platform I like, provided it is 1 platform at a time there is no additional fee. Unless I am missing something here your changes mean that in order to keep the ability to access Eurex Data across multiple platforms (again 1 at a time, not concurrently) I pay for both Denali EUREX Data at 25USD + CQG EUREX Data 25USD. |
