Post From: Notice to AMP Users. Clearing up Confusion.

AMP has been communicating to some Sierra Chart users, apparently a small number, that Sierra Chart has canceled the availability of Service Packages 3 or 5 for AMP using Sierra Chart, or we have canceled billing for those.

Absolutely none of this is true at all. This is simply incorrect what is being communicated to Sierra Chart users by someone at AMP.

Everything remains the same.

Those AMP users who have been using the Denali Exchange Data Feed and also paying for this through AMP were moved at the end of February 2021 to our new packages 10 and 11. These correspond to packages 3 and 5 and include the Denali Exchange Data Feed. AMP was provided advanced notice of this.

This is not a disruptive change in any way.

If you are using the Advanced (5) package through AMP, the price has remained essentially the same (Total cost 46 USD Per month with the data feed plus exchange fees). If you are using the Standard Package 3 through AMP, your cost then becomes 36 USD per month (price to be reduced once our price standardization plan is fully in effect).

We have not provided any notice at all through the system notification window to AMP users about anything. We did communicate the change to package 10 and 11 to AMP. They should have notified you of this due to the price change for Standard package users but apparently not.

We are hearing about some mention of a March deadline. There is no March deadline and we have no idea what this is referring to.

We need to set the facts straight, and the situation only reaffirms why broker billing is not efficient, causes pricing issues and we need to bring it to an end quickly as possible.

However, this has not even happened at this point in time. This will happen with notification and instructions, and a super easy migration path.

So all of what is going on this morning (2021-3-1) for the affected users and we do not know how many, was not caused by Sierra Chart in any way. Some users, had their Sierra Chart accounts disabled for renewal by AMP on February 26. AMP specifically did that but one reason would be your trading account was not sufficiently funded.

So this is another reason, why direct payment for Sierra Chart for your services makes sense. It is not tied to your trading account. Although if you are wanting to access CME real-time data, you do have to maintain a funded account but there is not an immediate, disabling of real-time data for not having the funded account.

We want to make it very clear, that the above issues, that some Sierra Chart users using a Sierra Chart account provided through AMP is completely unrelated to this:
Notice: March/April 31, 2021 - Changes to Billing of Sierra Chart through Brokers

And take note of the information in the thread linked above because beyond March/April 31, we are discontinuing billing through all brokers for Sierra Chart. You will need to directly pay for Sierra Chart. Before then we will provide you instructions on what to do.

However, we want to make it abundantly clear the issue some users experienced today with Sierra Chart usage time not being active is completely unrelated to this. It is actually these issues which is prioritizing, our migration away from billing of Sierra Chart through brokers. We had planned this transition for June, but we need to move it up to the end of March or end of April. And this applies to all brokers.
