I'd just like to add something to the comments from #32 above. His point about IB having good infrastructure vs some other brokers may hold some merit. Recently the USA has restricted US traders from trading the Hong Kong Exchange (HKex). AMP was providing access to HKex. But when this regulation comes out, what does AMP do? They restrict access to every single customer regardless if you are from the USA or not. Whereas, IB only restricts the USA based customer. And to touch on post #33 above. The IB TWS software is heavy and slow, but that doesn't mean your orders get filled slow. I enter through the SC DOM and will get fills to HKex before it even appears in the software, it feels like.
