You don't need to have a separate account at IB you are just adding a second 'virtual' user so you can login into the same IB account with two users. By default logging into TWS with a second instance and same username (mobile or another TWS on another computer) will kick you off the other connection. To further clarify the setup. Computer #1 * Sierra Chart (C:\SierraChart_IB) connecting to IB via the IB Gateway and userXXX to account 123123 * Sierra Chart (C:\SierraChart_AMP) connecting to AMP * IB - sometimes I'll run TWS on this computer for option trading (it's easier) connected via userXXY to account 123123 Computer #2 * IB - TWS on this computer connected via userXXY to account 123123 Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-01-16 20:56:29
