Here is a very simple feature suggestion that could give yet another edge to Sierra's DOM. As a DOM trader, I very often clear out the recent Bid/Ask (RBA) volume columns. A cool feature that would reduce the need to clear those columns would be to implement a decay timer so that when X seconds have elapsed after last print in a RBA cell, the text content of that cell would change color (user would set color for both decayed bid and asks cells). Example: In my case, any recent bid cell value touched > 5 minutes (delay is an option set by user) would have it's color pale red, instead of vivid red. So I always know which RBA cell was touched within the latest 5 minutes. This would be very useful. Right now if I don't clear the RBA cells constantly, the entire vertical dom's RBAs is polluted with older values I don't care about. I have other columns to keep track of total and old values. So there would be 3 settings for RBA: - Seconds decay - Color of recent bid cell color past decay - Color of recent Ask cell color past decay Smart user would chose same color as DOM bg if they want to hide those decayed RBAs.
