John,

Thank you for your reply. You were absolutely correct about one of the 3rd party studies causing the problem. Apparently, one of the charts in the chart book (the most complex one, with many overlays and several custom studies) got corrupted somehow.

I did exactly what you recommended:

1. Started in safe mode
2. Opened the same chart book that caused the problem while in the "Safe Mode"
3. Closed the Sierra and restarted everything again without "Safe Mode"

This time the chartbook loaded normally but it blew out the settings for all custom studies on all charts so they needed to be reconfigured.

4. Saved the chart book again and it's working fine now.

Now, I have a question....in situation like this, when chart book is complex and has many charts....is there a way to quickly identify WHICH chart or which study is causing the problem?

It would be very helpful if Sierra log printed some sort of specific pointer to which study or which chart is causing the abnormality. It took me almost 5 hours to rebuild the chart book as it is very complex so it would really save time of trial and error of identifying the bad component.

More detailed log DUMP feature would be very helpful!

Thank you,

D.
