What this thread overwhelmingly proves, is that we need to develop our own operating system, and if we can increase our programming capacity, with very good programmers, we can accomplish that. And we should. And this is a very serious intention. What do you have in mind? Doing everything from scratch (loader, kernel, drivers, etc.) or using an existing kernel and building on that?
