Hello, I have a hopefully simple Study/Price Overlay problem on my spreadsheets. I have a number of studies on a 30 min chart which are set to calculate based on Last. Let's use a 20 EMA as a simple example. Then on a 5 min. chart, I have various Study/Price Overlays that pull in the values from the studies on the 30 min. chart. Again, using the simple 20 EMA example, when I overlay it on the 5 min. chart, I would expect to see that the 6, 5-min candles between 01:00:00 and 01:29:59 reflect the same value as the 01:00:00 30 min candle. Instead what's happening is that the 30 min. 20 EMA that's drawn on my 5 min. chart does refresh every 30 min., but it's offset by 15 min. So while the actual value of the 20 EMA on the 30 min chart is refreshing at 00:30:00 at 01:00:00 and 01:30:00, etc. the overlay on the 5 min chart is refreshing the value of the 20EMA from the 30 min. chart every 30 mins at 00:15:00 and 00:45:00 and 01:15:00 etc. How do I go about aligning these values to the right time? I am using the Study/Price overlay, which as I understand is designed to accomplish the alignment between charts with different time periods. On the overlay settings, I have "Bar Time Matching Method" set to "Nearest Match" I have the same sessions time periods on both charts. Any help syncing these up is much appreciated as always. |
