I have two chartbooks and I'm mainly looking at the second chartbook 99% of the time. The first chartbook has a chart using the Bid/Ask Depth Bars Study. The close of the requested depth data is displayed - via a overlay study - on another window and this window is set to be "always visible". The problem is that full depth is not properly maintained. It reverts to top-of-book. I presume because this is because the first chartbook is "inactive" most of the time. I would like to "force" the depth market-data request at all times.
