You are misunderstanding. There should not be a problem with this and really thinking about this, this is not related to any recent changes either. Our only conclusion is there must be some unusual condition which resulted in a leftover symbol drawing. Once those are removed you should not have any problem going forward. We do not have any other reports of a problem at this time like this with the current versions. And we cannot reproduce this either.
