Ok. So I don't have the book about this indicator but I scoured the web for some clues and I found some transcript from the book that reads like "The AC histogram is a 5-bar simple moving average of the difference between the 5/34 momentum histogram and a 5-bar simple moving average of that difference". So it would seem that there's an extra SMA around the formula. I just checked on NinjaTrader and they also do it like the others. So it seems like 95% of people out there are using it wrong. Kudos to Sierra Chart in that case.
