The Sierra Chart installer installs both the 32 and 64-bit versions. So either of these can be used. Although only one can be used at a time though.

Within the C:\SierraChart\ folder (default installation folder) you will have the following two executable files: SierraChart.exe and SierraChart_64.exe. There are shortcuts for these executables on your desktop. Running the SierraChart.exe file, will start the 32 bit version of Sierra Chart. Running the SierraChart_64.exe, will start the 64 bit version of Sierra Chart.

The 32-bit version of Sierra Chart is compiled for 32-bit CPU architectures. The 64-bit version of Sierra Chart is compiled for 64-bit CPU architectures. The 64-bit version requires a 64-bit operating system like Windows 7 and higher.

You can tell which one you are running by selecting Help >> About on the menu.

After installing or updating Sierra Chart, if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows, then the 64-bit version will be run in most cases.

When starting Sierra Chart from the desktop shortcut or Start Menu, the 64-bit version will only be run if using the shortcut on the desktop with _64 in the text label. This shortcut will run the SierraChart_64.exe executable file in the Sierra Chart installation folder which usually is C:\SierraChart.

When starting Sierra Chart with the desktop shortcut without _64 in the name, the 32-bit version will be run.
