The assumptions given above cannot be proven or disproven for a general case, so that alone would be a waste of time. If the original poster can get a graphical representation of what he wants to see, this itself can be used to prove whether a certain outcome is more likely to occur, which is what you recommend. In other words, he can't very well do research easily on this until he has a tool which can give him the data, which is what this can be used for. I agree that we cannot assume the above, and perhaps the original poster has, which would be a mistake, but whether the assumptions hold or not is irrelevant; what is relevant is to find something that can yield an edge. |
