You do need to press the Apply button and this has been stated. We are not going to support the old way for efficiency reasons. Any changes to controls, results in a query and they have to be submitted at once after you have set the controls as required. We will see how to give a visual indication that you need to use the apply button. Maybe we will call it "Apply Changes" and enable the button after you make changes at the top.
