It sounds like you opened the "General Settings" and not the "General Trade Settings". Go to Menubar->Global Settings->And the first button in the right column should be General Trade Settings.

Or use the shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+G) to open the General Trade Settings dialog box.

And then check if either:
"Open Trade Orders Window When Order is Completed"
"Open Trade Orders Window When Order Is Filled"
is enabled. If so, disable them and see if the problem still occurs.
