normally a moving average only needs the number of days to load equal (or exceed by a few) to the length to plot accurately
This is true for SMA, but not so for EMA. For an EMA the starting data points are always part of the final result, so you need to load enough data so that this startup effect is small. Try loading more data until you don't see a difference when changing data length. |
