To see a visual of your alert, add the Color Bar Based On Alert Condition study, and put the formula on its Alerts tab. Go to Window >> Current Quote Window to see the current actual LastSize, then use a smaller value to see more alerts for this test, e.g. =LASTTRADESIZE>4 To test, scroll the chart back and go to Chart >> Replay Chart The LASTTRADESIZE identifier does not accumulate for the duration of the bar, and it only applies to the current bar.
